Finding a therapist that fits you can be daunting, but alas, you are here and that is so amazing :) I find that the rapport built between therapist and client is of the utmost importance. As the therapist, I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental space, where the client can feel safe to explore themselves in a way that some people may have not experienced in the past. It is a space that fosters exploration, healing, and ultimately self compassion. Exploring the client’s openness to therapy, overcoming biases, and overcoming our own roadblocks that may have hindered healing in the past. Part of my role is to walk alongside you as you venture on the path of reaching your therapeutic goals.
I have been practicing therapy for 7 years now and have been working primarily with children, teenagers, and adults in the community mental health, school, and private practice settings. I work with clients from an attachment lens, but use modalities such as (Eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and (emotion focused therapy (EFT), based on the individualized needs of the client.
My journey toward working in mental health is one that started from my own exploration of self and the relationships I found myself in. It warms my soul to see clients make therapeutic connections on their own and grow in ways that make them feel as if they have agency in their own lives. Everyone has the right to their own happiness and growth, and that can look different to each client. Let’s chat about what that may look like for you!
