My mission is to provide a safe environment to lead individuals to a more emotionally balanced life. I have been working as a therapist for 25+ years and am passionate about helping people who are ready to take their first step in learning to deal with their emotional pain. I specialize in various issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, behavioral problems, trauma, and complex trauma and I have experience in working with adults, couples, families, children and adolescents. Together, we can find ways to deal with your present issues, worries, and fears. I have a calm, compassionate, and friendly nature which helps my clients feel supported, accepted, and understood. I aim to offer a safe and non-judgemental space for you so you can establish a therapeutic relationship with me. I will meet you where you are and together we can uncover difficult past experiences, childhood trauma, difficult emotions, and intrusive thoughts. Then, we can set treatment goals in order to gain insight and develop a path for personal growth. My approach is collaborative, relational, educational, insight oriented, and dynamic. I also use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, TFCBT, DBT, attachment style work, self regulation, cognitive processing and restructuring, trauma narrative writing, somatic work, and mindfulness. I will guide you to learning to develop effective coping skills in order to self regulate, stop negative thoughts, understand your mind, and manage depression and anxiety.
