weekly Support Groups in the S.F. Bay Area & California
Teen Support Group (maximum 5 teens) – Online Adolescence is a very tough period in a child's life, as it's typically marked by recurring or persistent stress, angst, anger, confusion, fear, low self-esteem, loneliness, sadness, and even despair or loss of hope. Unfortunately, these often lead teens to react in various harmful ways, including: destructive/aggressive behavior, disinterest in usual activities, isolation, and/or discouragement/giving up. For people of all ages, feelings of anxiety and depression can be a natural and temporary response to many situations and stresses. For teens in particular, feelings of anxiety and depression are common elements of the maturation process, which typically involves physical and mental changes, hormonal fluctuations, social development, uncertainty regarding identity and self-worth, and trouble regarding issues such as independence and responsibility. As a result, teens often experience uncertainty, conflict, and other problems in various parts of their lives (and it can be even worse for teens who suffer from particular medical or emotional conditions). That’s why Quick Results Counseling developed our weekly online Teen Support Group. This well-established and well-regarded group for teens focuses on being an active, fun, friendly, and non-judgmental outlet and resource for its members. This group—which includes teens located all over the S.F. Bay Area and California—meets weekly over Skype or Zoom. Members of the group also have access to the latest in social network technology, including a dedicated activity stream, forum, and chat room. Insurance is accepted.

Infidelity Support Group – In Person or Online Have you been cheated on? Discovering that your partner has been unfaithful to you is one of the most shocking and hurtful things that you can experience. Infidelity often shatters a couple’s life, and it can also severely strain their families, friends, jobs, etc. Unfortunately, infidelity is very common and can occur in any marriage or other intimate or emotional relationship. Regardless of the reason for the cheating, it usually triggers all sorts of painful and unsettling feelings, and it can make you question every part of your life. For example:
Why did this happen?
Is this my fault?
Could I have prevented my partner from cheating?
What should I tell my family/kids/friends/neighbors/co-workers?
Will I be able to get over this? How? When?
It’s very normal to ask questions like these. Dealing with your partner’s infidelity can make you feel entirely alone, especially since your regular source of comfort and support—your significant other—is actually the source of your pain. Research has shown that people who are suffering from their partner’s infidelity usually benefit significantly from meeting others who are also coping with infidelity. That’s why Quick Results Counseling developed our weekly Infidelity Support Group. This group provides a safe and caring environment for you to discuss and hear about all of the feelings that infidelity can cause, including shock, confusion, betrayal, devastation, isolation, sadness, and anger. This is an opportunity for you to meet, relate to, and be supported by other people who are also experiencing infidelity. Group members participate in active listening, sharing their own experiences, and relating and growing through meaningful discussions. Dr. Jayn moderates and guides the group’s meetings. As a team, the group’s members support each other (with Dr. Jayn’s guidance and expertise) through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through this process alone. Adults who are age 18 or older can attend either in person or online via Skype or Zoom. Insurance is accepted.
